NOONE CHECKED ON ME
Good morning your Honor.
Out of Reverence, I asked my nurse and aid to dress me in dress shirt and tie.
I must confess, I tried to cry when I wrote my testimony.
However, my struggles would not allow it.
I am Kenneth McClenton and I am in sound mind despite my physical state.
I received notice that the District of Columbia says I want it to take away my aide.
I want no such and have not requested so.
I do not know where the confusion lay but I shall blame it on my inability to communicate.
I have contacted the DC Deparrtment of Health, the DC Office of Health Care Ombudsman and the DC
Office of the Inspector General.
I posed to them one question, "If DC spends nearly $200,000.00 a year to manage my illness,
why not risk $15,00.00 on an experimental stem cell therapy?
I have been told that such a procedure may rejuvenate my damaged brain and return my ability to walk
and talk nearly to my fullest potential. This hope may relieve the State of this financial burden. If I
COULD RETURN TO FULLNESS, I could relieve my wife of working full-time in the day and caring
for me full-time at night without an aide. If I COULD RETURN TO FULLNESS, I could hold my
grandson while he's still a toddler. It is not guaranteed but it's my last hope. I DO NOT want to spend the
next twenty years confined to this bed or my wife to pass and I am institutionalized with no connection
to the outside world. Confined to a bed unto death. I have Hope. I Have Good Hope.
Now, don't take my response as ingratitude. I am more than gratified and thankful that the DC Health
Department and DC Superior Courts are doing a Needs Check on me. Since December 21, 2023, I have
been in need. On December 20, 2023, my wedding anniversary, I walked into MedStar suffering from a
minor stroke. The following night, I was attack by a nurse and two technicians. The minor stroke
became a major.
NOONE CHECKED ON ME.
I became paralyzed-hemiplegia-and my hypothalamus destroyed so I can't tell you if I am hungry or
thirsty.
NOONE CHECKED ON ME.
The nurses at MedStar thoroughly covinced my wife it wasn't patient abuse but workplace violence.
They kicked me out of the Hospital on Saturday, December 23, 2023 because I REFUSED to take a
drug, deemed black label by the FDA. I limped home with my wife,
NOONE CHECKED ON ME.
I was sexually assaulted by a nurse at MedStar during my second stay. Family, friends, doctors and
nurses said they could do nothing.
NOONE CHECKED ON ME.
I was given insulin my body did not need. My body weight plummeted from 275 to 140.
NOONE CHECKED ON ME.
I was assaulted by a nurse at Cherrydale Rehabilitation. The Arlington County Police said there was
nothing they could do.
NOONE CHECKED ON ME.
When I got Home, I tried to get help.
The FEDS and DC denied me income disability.
I tried to contact the police but, everyone refused.
Maude Regenia Holt, she said I could call her Maude, Administrator and Health Care Ombudsman for
the Office of Health Care Ombudsman and Bill of Rights within the District of Columbia’s Department
of Health Care Finance (DHCF) sent me a reply email advising that she could not contact the DC
Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) for me and that I would need to ask a neighbor.
After filing a complaint against DC MPD, an officer finally came to my home to record my patient
abuse report only to say they would not investigate the matter. I have been refused legal representation
for my patient abuse cases. My wife has been threatened that our home and utilities will be taken away.
So forgive me, if I don't appear grateful enough. It may be due to the fact that I survived 5 major
strokes, 2 assaults, 1 sexual assault and countless other abuses. I am terribly grateful that you
CHECKED ON ME.
I am still paralyzed. I am still bed-ridden. I need the nurse and the aide still. They are the Best Nursing
Care I have had. Nothing has changed.
Thank you for checking on me.
I only wanted to save the City I love a little money and Keep Hope Alive.
Thank you your Honor.
I will answer any questions now.
